Women's Growth in Connection : writings from the Stone Center / J. V. Jordan, A. G. Kaplan, J. B. Miller [et al.]. - New York ; London : The Guilford Press, 1991. - X, 310 p. - Текст : непосредственный.
Аннотация: "Women's Growth in Connection" offers a sampling of the influential ideas emanating from the Stone Center, Wellesley College, about women's meaning systems, values, and organization of experiences. These papers, about women's ways of being in the world, frame an innovative - relational - perspective on women's psychological development. The authors - clinicians, clinical supervisors, and teachers - have been searching for therapeutical models that more clearly reflect women's lives. They are troubled by models of "human" development inspired by male culture, models that define health and maturity in terms of separation and autonomy - models that consistently define women as deficient. By offering a new perspective on women's development, "Women's Growth in Connection" takes its place in the ongoing feminist examination and reshaping of psychological theory and practice. The insights are fresh and focused on the lives women live. The authors offer it as an invitation to the reader to join in the building of new models of women's development.
